Do not upgrade to 3.1.3 it's not worth it.
I have upgraded 3 iPhones to the 3.1.3, unlocked/jailbroken, i have seen it same as the 3.1.2, doesn't have anything new, everything is the same, well, besides that, it upgrades your Modem firmware, which it's not recommended.
I suggest you to wait until the new Firmware 4.0 |

Too late!
 Done it on my 2G then jailbroke and unlocked with redsn0w 0.93. Seems to work fine so far, but then it is a 2G. Way different then 3G or 3GS. Yepp, modem firmware says 5.1 now! 3.1.2 said 5.0! EDIT: Is not the modem firmware is the Carrier version. Damm, still have to learn a lot.

I know, well, at least you can improve your ram on the 2G, i did it, and now i have 85MB free.

I thought 3.1.3 could not be jailbroken or unlocked, coz of baseband update!!!!
But, this thread shows dat now its possible.... is it???? n wat program to use for 3g n 3gs????

yes, it just can be possible on 2G, the 3G can be jailbroken but not unlocked, 3GS cannot.

I jailbroke an iphone 3GS (16GB) the other night, baseband 05.11.07. Firmware-3.1.2 (7D11)
Used blackra1n for the jailbreak (RC3) and BlackSn0w for the unlock, everything seemed to go ok other than the wifi stopped working, a quick network reset seems to have solved that problem.

No, the one I was working on was my brothers new 3GS, am thinking of grabbing one for my upgrade, just not sure yet...
 I have a feeling we will be seeing the HTC hero very shortly, that'll be my first choice.

When i started reading ur post tank, i was like i know bout 3.1.2, but i wanted to know bout 3.1.3 ....
But after i read it completely, it actually helped me.... my frens' wifi had stoppd working on her 3gs.... i think nw i know d solution!!!!  hahahaha.... thnx...Quote:
