How do you promote MotoModding.US ?

Have you promoted MotoModding.us on another website or in another Forum? These are a couple of ways that I have tried to spread the word about MotoModding.us on the internet

Using Free Download Manager - freedownloadmanager.org (http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/)
You can post a review and rate any file that you download using their download manager - so i find this is an excellent place for a tag

I put a link in a read me file. And zip it with everything I make.
Plus have links under sig at M3 and MotoX.

Plus I have summited the site to over 100 search

Yeah, i'm not much of a skinner, and the only thing i've ever really ported was a speaker box, so I help where I can :wink: ......Do we have a MySpace or similar account with a site like that? I'm all about bringin' em in by the truck load 8)

I have a simple method for promoting the site. I usually got to a store or kiosk whatever wherever phones plans accessories are being sold. I talk for a minute or so to the fast talker trying to sell me sumpting (no thats not a typo). Then I engage them in a teaching way (gentle not smug) and am quickly able to show them that theres a whole world of modding wonder out there that their bosses wont tell them about . In the store its about the money remember and not about having fun with phones. These guys think I'm a phone God and usually 99.5% of the time want to know how they can learn this stuff. I'm quick to point out (in my humble way) that I'm no Guru there are many I learn from and I can show you where they play!!!. This takes time and effort but it's the balls to stand around a corner afterwards and watch the website pop up as they study and smile. Talk up your locals and have some fun. The internet is an amazing resource but theres nothing like down home fun tweaking and teaching the noob! to become a modding wanna be Guru!

That sounds good, here we have people that would not mind getting their phones customized but most are too lazy to learn it and do it themselves. I just take their phones and have some fun with them if they want it modded out. Trouble is I find it hard to charge for that service since I learned how to do it for free from you guys so I kind of pass it along. I have friends that want to kill me for not charging I just say what the hell and have my fun.

@Doza - nothing better than word of mouth advertising! I like your idea, mostly because it takes balls to do that sort of thing. (Hehe - Walk into the store and teach the sales person something about the products their selling. That usually gets their attention, doesn't it :wink: )After reading your post, I might have to go in to some of the wireless shops around here and try this. - peace

Well I Got Em!!!! They Know It!!! and I find more often then not that they are willing to listen and learn. Please understand these guys are just trained to pump sales NO one I mean No one teaches them about possibilities with phones no matter what the make so knowledge is limited. Trust me when I say this usually people will find you to be a breath of fresh air with the stuff you can teach or show them. Hell all of us are looking for a little help in life and the intrigued (not insecure ) person will view your info as important stuff that not only enhances their phone but increases their selling knowledge enormously !!!
In other words knowledge is power the smart sales guy sees fun and dollars the loser moves on to a pizza shop Oh always end with :
If you think thats something wait till you see what these guys do!! ( refer them to Motomodding.Us at this point) He or she then figures you to be one of them with a little background no worries and very disarming
Oh and you can feel like a Guru when you leave it's OK Too!!

Works every time and everyone checks out the site and the circle grows (Lion King :) :) )

ps: posting on the internet is great but your only reaching people who are already at a modding site
(Motox M3 Motomodders etc. these people have found there way and will explore naturally) the real trick to growth is to show the uninformed the difference Ive been all over and I keep coming back here because this feels like family People get that !!!! And they will stick too!!!
