View Full Version : V3 and Z3 skin differences

What is the difference between V3 Skins and Z3 skins? The reason I ask is because I have a V3 Subaru skin I partially modded that I'd like to use on my Z3.

v3 i think has a middle key button and z3.

Is there any way to convert my V3 Subaru skin so I can use it on my Z3?

Well karren you can port it over to the z3! the real only differance is no middle soft key

Rotary!!! Long time no see!!! I've been out of the game for a minute(working on my WRX), but I'm doing some work for myself and a friend of mine, so I'll be around for awhile!!! So, how do I go about "porting" it over?

OK, I DO have a question: The guide specifies that I need "Skinner4Moto with Krzr", located in the downloads section. What I've found was "Krzr K1 s4m skin modular", which seems to be just a random file that needs ANOTHER program to open it. Am I missing something here?

open the skinner4moto folder and drop it into the s4m folder and away you go

That's not tough at all!! Now, my next question: Can I flash it with the Subaru V3 DRM, or will that not work?

NO DRM files for the V3 are for the V3 only. DRMS are phone specific.

I was going to just port my Subaru DRM, but everytime I run DRM Port, the icons folder is empty. Any reason for this?

The conversion from v3 to z3 is not a easy process. I suggest you look through the our download section for either a K1 or Z3 drm that you like. Then flash that one.
Yes K1 fonts and DRM will work for z3
