I am 51
I have been modding for about 48 months. Started with the basic and went to skinning, DRMs, fonts and dappled in other stuff.
I currently am using Backflip
I JUST LOVE THIS STUFF.
I am the owner of this site. If you do know my work and wonder why you should trust me.
Here is Thank you letter from a member of the last website I was on.
__________________________________________________ ________
Letter of Thanks.
I just wanted to say thanks to FLDodger for understanding what i'm going through right now with the Z3 DRM's (Posted At M3) for all of you who don't know there was a problem with the drm's posted at m3 which ended up bricking phones(i spent all day Friday bricking and un-bricking, during testing) but thanks to the help of my newly found friend FLDodger he offered me to either use the links he provided(which i didn't use) because it felt like "Stealing" and also for posting a thorough guide on porting drm's to Z3 and i am eternally grateful, you never seem to disappoint people and for that i thank you, because of this site i have decided to take up the " other side" of modding, such as skins and drms and i will be forever in yours debt
THANK YOU
Clarkey (M3 Moderator/Bob150's MotoX N00b)

I am the ?old man? here. I am 72 and live in San Diego.
I also have a home in Melaka, Malaysia,
where I spend a couple of months a year.
I travel a lot for business and fly fishing.
Business takes me mostly to Southeast Asia.
Fly fishing takes me to Canada, New Zealand and Chile.
Began to mod phones only about four years ago, when I want to change the skin in my v3. Spend most of my time with firmware and testing it. So, needless to say, I have had a few bricks. I was able to save them except for two occasions and hagan and vermsky came to the rescue.
Sorry, but I am not much help on skins, fonts and DRM?s. I will leave that to others.
I still work, but from home running my companies.
Except when traveling, I have a fair amount of free time and find modding
phones fun and educational at the same time.
Currently, I spend most my time with Windows Mobile on HTC phones.

Hello everyone, welcome to the site, we are glad you decided to become members of the fastest growing and Best site on the net.. I am the Moderator Underdogg, and because underdogg is my military call sign I cannot give my full name nor post a picture.
I am a retired United States Army MSG E8. I am Ranger Qualified, Airborne and Air Assualt Qualified, Sniper Qualified, Pathfinder Qualified, Jungle Expert, Graduate Northern Warfare School. I was one of the first instructors at the Delta Force school. I am a demolitions expert, small arms expert, expert tactician, and master trainer. I have an asoc degree in computer science and a batchlors degree in Early American History, I have a degree in education, though I never taught school. I am 53 years old, twiced divorced, three kids, two grandkids, my Grandson DJ is 7 months older than my son A.L., go figure.
I have been modding something for the last ten years, first it was cable boxes. H-cards thru the H-3, where I was a moderator, super moderator and a guru on several forums. After that I moved on to FTA, and I became a moderator and super moderator, I still hold the super moderator title on one FTA forum under a different nic. Because of my love for modding phones, I gave up my status on all the FTA boards, because I helped start and grow one of the FTA Forums the site owner said the title of super moderator was mine to keep.
I have been modding phones for almost a year, I met (online) FLD and asked him to port a skin for me, he did such a great job I asked him how he did it. He gave me an impromptu block of instruction, and the rest as they say is history. I have a Black V-3 modded to the maxx, modded V3i D&G and Gun metal grey, both modded to the nines (9's). I have a blue K-1 modded out of sight. I have a Gold V3xx-LD, a Platinum V3xx-ld, and a Platinum V3xxMLD, all modded as much as they can be at this time. I am knowledgeable in the modding of the V3, V3i, K-1, and V3xx. I have gotten into DRM's and Skins, makin and porting them. I am always testing new software and trying to find out what new functions I can come up with using the trial and error method with seem files. I test on my own phones before I post anything to the board.. So with all that being said......
On behalf of the Site Admin, Asst Admin, Chief Executive Officer, and all other Site Staff let me say we are glad to have you here and we will assist you in any way (Modding wise)and answer any and all questions you may have.
So Sit a spell, take yo shoes off, enjoy yoself, ya'll come back often now, ya heah!

Hello people, I'm Woody. :smoke:
I'm 39 years old, Senior IT Security Consultant.
Been in modding game for few years now, since RAZR came to scene. Since graphics design is one of my hobbies, I've started making skins for it and after almost 250 of them I'm on a time-out at the moment. I've used to be moderator on MotoX, but after adds started clogging the place, I've moved here - to one of the rare add-free modding forums, with one of the greatest Crew and member base.
Same as Tkalli I travel a lot, but unlike him - it's mostly work related. :D
I'm an Open Source advocate, since I think that free knowledge is the only way for our civilization to progress.
I spend A LOT of time online (again work related), so you can find me here very often.

Hi!
My name is Maja. I'm 26 years old, BSc in chemistry but for the time being employed in First Data Serbia (not working anything connected with chemistry :)). I’m from Croatia but now living in Belgrade (Serbia). In my free time I read or paint.
I started to interest in modding on MotoX forum (more then 3 years ago), mostly in making skins - made some skins and other graphics for RAZR. I've met a lot of interesting people on forum MotoX and I even moved to Belgrade because of one ex MotoX moderator. :D
Sorry guys, but don’t spend so much time online like most of you and don’t doing much job on forum, but I’m inform about everything what is going on here. :)
But it’s always nice to spend some time with such a great people like you guys. :celebrate:

Hello everyone, I'm Paul. Currently living in SoCal and pretty much love it here. I'm 13 (the new youngest mod), and will be turning 14 on February 2nd. I'm currently in school right now, and will be graduating junior high in June. I've been modding moto's ever since I got my V3r and found out about moto modding. I started most of my modding over at MotoX after bricking my phone :D I've pretty much done all I've wanted to my V3r and haven't done anything to it in a while. I mostly just create skins when I have some free time. Not too good at photoshopping, but I love working with graphics. I also love music. I play the piano, violin, and learning the guitar. That is pretty much all you gotta know about me, thanks for having me on this great team! :)

Then i got a Rokr E6 i modded it from the first day i got it !! i started making skins and mp's for my e6 !! i have made 3 mp's for motorola E6 which are very famous and considered as some of the best mp's for e6 on motorolafans !!here are the links of mp's i made for e6 that time :

When everything was good i met with a really bad accident just like 2 months back where my phone was in pieces !!
Then I got a moto E8 and i came on this site and got a lot of cooperation from all members to mod my phone , then i started implementing my skills and sharing my knowledge with members and i got appreciation !! And finally i became a moderator :one: of such an amazing site with an amazing crew like you all :drinks: thanxx a lot !! Thanxx !!;)

I have almost completed my half century in age. I am german, but living in the UK and are a self employed gardner.
I started modding because I wanted some different skins on my V3x, but there were none available, so, I had to make my own. That's how it started. After making a few skins, I soon releasied that I was not really that good in making skins, but enjoyed skin development (where you place the skin parts). This went on while moving from the V3x to the V6. I also started to edit firmwares, but this really worked better as I changed to the V8, as its Linux based OS played right into my hands, as I had been using Linux on my PC for quite some time, hence the "Linux Master" title. I am not a programmer, so my Linux knowledge has its limits, but I am constantly learning.
I also have made the move to a smartphone, which sadly is not a Motorola, my choice is the iPhone. but this is a completely new ball game and I have lots to figure out about this.
One thing I learned during my time in modding and that is shown in my signature:
Nothing is impossible, only miracles take a bit longer!
Other important rules are:
Always have/make a backup before you start to change something, in case it goes wrong and then you will be able to go back to a working setup. Another point is, if it does not work the first time, don't give up, try again and again and come here to get help if you are really stuck. The best way to describe modding is:
60% trial & error + 20% common sense + 20% experience = 100% success ;)

Sadly I can not take credit for it, but ever since I saw it, it stuck in my mind. I saw it on a sign in a tiny chemical equipment shop in the former East Germany, where I used to buy some stuff as it was made by the Schott glass factory around the corner, when we "Wessies" (from West Germany) came to visit my grandparents.
