Hi,
I am having troubles flashing a new Language pack to my new unlocked KRZR K1 (Bootloader: 0A.B2 Firmware: R4527_G_08.22.07R). I am using Flash&Backup 3.0.7, ShX_Codec366, and SBF_Recalc 1.2.4 to recompute checksums.
My eventual goal is to add Hebrew, but in testing I have even done this test:
I have taken the original language-pack from the phone, used SHXCodec to remove a language, and then install the modified CG4 (both directly as generated by SHXCodec, and after recomputing the checksum via SBF_recalc). I consistently get a Critical Error FEBE 0035 after the loader is sent (shortly thereafter, the phone reboots itself and works as usual).
When I re-load the original CG4 shx (both as-is, and after recomputing the checksum, which oddly yields a slightly different file), it loads fine.
Needless to say, I get the same errors when trying to flash the modified LP with Hebrew.
Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? Could it be an RSA issue (I have not removed RSA)? Are Language packs included in the signature?
Is there any source for what this critical error code means?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Welcome jas222.
When you say "When I re-load the original CG4 shx"
Is this the LP that you have backed up with F&B3? And if this flashes back to the phone ok then I think the problem will be with the edited LP.
If you want, post a copy of your CG4 and I will put one together for you to test.

Yes, precisely -- I can flash back to the phone the CG4 that I previously backed up with F&B3, but when I try to install that CG4 having been modified with SHX_Codec (either the CG4 where I removed a couple languages, or the one where I removed a couple of languages and added Hebrew), I get the Critical Error, and the FB3 Log gives the following messages:
Flash&Backup 3.0.7

Here are links pointing to two files: the first is the backup file I extracted, which I can successfully load, and the second is one of the many files that fails to load (that includes the language I want). For this one I had recalculated the checksum via SBF-Recalc, though that didn't seem to do any good. (I wasn't allowed to attach these files to the forum, so I used fileconvoy.com, a service I just discovered to host them).
One more note -- I have also tried this with PKtools 3.0.8.864, and also using a different KRZR (0A.B2).ldr file in FB3 that I found at http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=289, but I always get the same results...
Thank you so much for your help!

Give this one here a try.
Hebrew added, Dutch and Turkish removed.

You are amazing! This worked perfectly first time!
May I ask how you generated it? What tool? Is it something available freely, or is it a "pro" tool? (I am a long-time computer geek, I just happen to be new to the phone-modding world...).
Thank you again so much!

Glad it worked out for you:thumbup:
The method I used required these 2 programs only:
[Download SBF-Recalc 1.2.8] (http://www.mmus.us/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=2036)
[Download Moto Language Editor 2.4.0] (http://www.mmus.us/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=5485)
I used SBF recalc to split and recompile the .SHX files, what you want is the CG4.smg file for editing.
I used Moto Language Editor to open and edit the CG4.smg file, with this program you can load/save/delete the needed language files.

Thanks! I guess the problem was with how SHX_Codec handled the language file manipulation (that was the tool I tried using).
