v3i Battery Life

How long, in theory, should my v3i battery hold a charge? I don't use it as an mp3 player anymore, i don't use the camera everyday, maybe once a week take 2 or 3 photo, but when I charge it overnight ( about 7-8 hours) i only seem to get about 24 hrs before meter runs all the way down. It has shut itself off a few times, but only when i was using the video camera.

That's strange I used to get at least 2 days good from it before I lost a bar but If I ran it down I would get 3 maybe even 4 days (4 days with a little less usage) before I get the annoying "Charge me" sound. Seems you might be having either software or battery issues. It sounds more like the latter, try another battery first because it may have lost the memory with all the modding and charging while plugged in via USB. I think the battery is supposed to have 1000 cycles before it starts to lose battery memory.

Hey thanks for the quick reply - You're right about me draining the battery with all the Flashing and constant USB charging - another thing that I hadn't thought of is that it has been :twisted: 100?F+ just about everyday for about 2 weeks in my part of Arkansas, maybe the heat has gotten to it quicker than I anticipated! - thanks
