Many thanks U-DOGG! I will give it a spin later on tonight. Also, if you notice any changes or improvements over the cingy version, could you post here as well?

Thanks again for the share!

Edit: In your post, could you place the branding, flex and s/w version. This is from at&t correct?

Edit 2: This is from U-DOGG's shout box about the phone. Please correct me if I have this wrong about this file.

Is it locked?

If it is, it will not be for long.

I have a clean upgrade from: Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R to AT&T R26111LD-AS_U_96.BO.OAR
Got a couple of things to do first but, I will unlock my phone, backup and post the stock unlocked version if U-DOGG confirms this is locked

Edit: I just threw my t-mo sim and it did not request for unlock code

Edit 2: After reviewing the phone with the new flash, imo I cannot see any difference to the cingy version. Actually, if memory serves, other users at motox posted having this firmware soon after the AT&T purchase of Cingy. So this may be a cross over and not an upgrade (that may be the MLD that I have not been able to flash to).

On a side not, the only problem I am having is accessing the address book. I can hit the icon and nothing happens.

Any thoughts, opinions, or other testers?

Enough edits on the above post.

I was able to flash back to my backup Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R from the AT&T R26111LD-AS_U_96.BO.OAR

I still cannot access my addressbook so I'm not sure what is up with that.

As far as I know it is locked I have not had time to get the code yet. I have though bricked this phone twice today.

I was able to get the s/w on my phone without problem (except for not being able to access the phonebook) and go back without problem.

I am going to try my full stock flash then try yours again.

Still cant get the new fone to accept any of the backup flashes from the older V3xx, so I guess I will have to do it manually.

I flashed the full stock flash to my phone which repaired the addressbook issue, then applied your flash and all is working fine.

U-Dogg, you may want to try what I did - full stock flash of your orig s/w and then use your updated flash. I have been running it for 2 days now and have not seen anymore issues (addressbook and msnap working fine here)

Edit: Oh, I See, we are doing the reverse. I am moving an old firmware phone to the new firmware and you are moving the new firmware to the old one. Try the full stock flash anyways (the one verms pulled a couple months ago) and then try one of your older firmware backups.

I went back and did everything one at a time and found it loses the ability to get into the datebook and messageing and pictures after I flash a font file. Every thing is fine as long as I dont flash a font file. Gonna try putting the font file on first this am.

^^ One thing to remember: the LP for this is new firmware is 0063 while the older one is 0003. This may or may not be causing your problems. Try creating a new font with the new LP.

Thanks I had not thought of this. And yes I have been using 0003. Guess I have to talk to Mr. Kent about the new fonts. Have not gotten into making my on yet. Do you have any of the 0063 new Fonts? I have not seen any of the 0063 fonts.

Are you able to get the phone working by using just the full stock flash for Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R ?

underdogg

No it wont take it. But if I crash it I get it back up by putting its original flash file back on it. The R26111LD-AS_U_96.BO.0AR

I'm just gonna do all the seem edits delete the files that I deleted off my original, delete the two stock skins and some other files to give it more room and add my new skins, and wait until I make a font or until I find one.

I am trying a flash back to Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R. Will keep you updated.

Edit: AT&T R26111LD_AS is sticky and cannot be flashed back to Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R. After the cingy flash, goes to boot screen and displays AT&T R26111LD_AS s/w info.

OK, I'm going to think this one through here so bear with me.

When I first attemped the LD_AS flash, it was to my modded LD version. After the flash, I saw that functions were not working correctly (namely I could not access the addressbook). So I applied the full stock LD flash to bring my phone back to a clean starting point. At this point I flashed with the LD_AS flash and I did not see any issues with the addressbook and all appeared to be in working order.

I have now attemped to flash back to the full stock LD (twice) and on each attempt, after the flash completes without errors, I am at the boot screen showing the LD_AS software. I shut the phone off and restart and same thing - bootscreen.

I have reflashed the LD_AS and all is fine.

So, either my first flash to the LD_AS was currupt and allowed me to flash back to LD or gremlins are living in my phone because it sure seems stickied to LD_AS now.

Any thoughts?

When I tried to flash over the LD-AS with the 96.71.95R it was a no go but I was able to do a Flex with the 95.R over the LD_AS. The font flash was not letting me go to messages, Pics, and Music. Now I have the LD_AS and just made all the changes I wanted through the seem edits. I believe if you flash the 95.R CG-1 first then flash the CG-2 it will unsticky it.

I had to do this a couple of nights ago.

Ya, it's a funny one and requires someones input who is more experienced than I.

I was able to revert to the LD version with one of my F&B backups - but the full stock flash would not work!?!

Final results?

Upgrade works well for Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R LP 0003 but downgrade with stock LD file by vermsky is a no-go (tried way too many different ways to flash it last night). Only way to downgrade was with my F&B backup. Next test is flashing backup then stock, making new F&B backup with stock and trying to downgrade with that.

s/w seems solid with no functional differences to the Cingy LD version.

Just one question...

The firmware U-Dogg posted was a backup and not from Motorola Software Update right?

I just think that for some reason, this is not the same as having sticky software but is similar to the RSA verification in the V3i where you can switch from R479-R47A-R4441D.

The backup may not contain this RSA verification info, therefore allowing you to upgrade to LD_AS. The full stock LD MP I got was from Motorola and it is a full 1FF recovery file.

If someone can find the original motorola firmware for LD_AS, then we can verify this little theory of mine.

Well, verms, you are the software king, are you not. Get to it

Success! I have an unlocked version of AT&T R26111LD-AS_U_96.BO.OAR (Stock) and I am able to flash back with my unlocked Cingy R26111LD_U_96.71.95R (Stock backup). Links in a minute

Edit: The files have been uploaded to the 4shared site in the CingularATTv3xxLD folder. They are inside the MP folder: http://www.4shared.com/dir/3419066/49351681/sharing.html

You will see a part 1 and part 2. Part 1 contains the ATT LD_AS stock unlocked flash & part 2 contains my Cingy LD stock unlocked flash. Both files contain a readme that you should go over before the upgrade (if you miss step 1-run a backup first :-).
