Just wanted to remind you of this excellent software http://www.operamini.com/ and ask a huge question?

Is there any way possible to configure Opera Mini to work off my home wireless network (rather than my carrier's network)?

That would be amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know - I was just thinking about the ultimate phone configuration.
The phone's browser accessed thru the carrier's network and Opera accessed thru your wireless home network!
that would be cool

No, it is not possible. It isnt possible because v3i's do not have wifi. Which would make it so your wireless internet would link to your phone, giving it..lets just say, internet that is faster then your computer. It would be faster becuase the screen is much smaller so it takes less time to load. it would be a turbo charged connection. More newer phones just as the nokia n90 and n95, which the n95 has a 5 mega pixle camera lol, they have wifi, so it would be possible for your phone. So pretty much you have to stick to your wirless carrier!

what about Motorola Phone Tools?

I don't have a data plan so if I access the internet it cost extra.

Can I use my phone's browser thru MPT to browse, download or install (let's say - install the gmail app) and not be incurring charges on my phonebill?

If I could do that I could download my email thru mpt and read it while at work............
