The new V3xx flashfiles have been released!

We have one generic firmware. One showing Quadband capabilities after flashing. And the new LD_AS for AT&T.

Any feedback on wheather or not the Moto firmware actually makes the phone quad band?

The moto firmware by itself will make your phone show that it is quadband. So far, no confirmed reports that it is "really quadband". If we can figure out how to flash this to an MLD, I have someone who can confirm it.

I tried the 018 firmware on my International v3xx.
I changed the boot loader.
Flashed the phone using RSD_Lite 3.8.
Phone flashed and said "Passed."
Stuck in boot loader mode, showing old S/W version.
Flashed with original backup.
Phone is fine. Charging so I can try again....
Any suggestions.

Update.
Flashed just the flex.
Worked fine. Phone restarted.
Network setup shows all bands.
One problem:
Shows memory as Full.... :?b:

Ted,that is why I didn't flash any of these files..

Anytime I flash a new SW something bad happens so I decided to keep the 73BR.

Has to be a way to do it, bomber.
Not sure what it is, but I will try a few things and see what happens.

You could also try flashing the full flash in bl mode but I don't want your phone to get stuck either.

Already tried it. I may tried some other combinations
of the CG's and see what happens.

You can try to flash 018 to your cingular phone, make a backup, change the loader, then flash to your international phone.

Doubt it will work but it's worth a try.

I dont know what it is but some thing is preventing the LD S/W from loading to the MLD phones. Even when I change the Bootloader I get a ton of different error messages and phone gets stuck in bootloader mode. I am going to go through the global state files again and see if I missed something. The quad ban firmware confirms what has been presumed all along that this phone is actually quad and software has it stuck on tri band.

I did not think I was gonna get it out of bootloader mode the last time. It took me all afternoon. but it finally worked. There should be a way to force the update using the new profiles.

Flashed phone back to R26111LD_U_96.66.73BR.
I haven't tried to use the 018 flex with this S/W.
This is the S/W I normally use and not the original AS S/W.
This is the one bomber stated he always go back to.
I will play around with it and see what happens.

Tried the full 018 S/W flash to the 73R S/W.
Same results.
Phone flashes, says passed, but never reboots
and stays in boot loader mode.
Reflashing 73R S/W and than will try just the flex.

A guy from germany contacted me with the same issues. He has MLD and he couldn't get the LD quad to load no matter what he does. The bad thing was, he continued to experiment and ended up with a brick that we can't seem to get out of. He got an international file containing only CG1,3 and 18, changed the Loader then flashed. The flash went fine but the phone got stuck in bootloader. RSD immediately reports Hab errorx05 immediately upon connection. Once erasing firmware has begun, the flash will fail. No matter what we try, whether the 1FF MLD file or your backup, it just failed.

@Tkalli,

Great job! Now if we can confirm that it does work...

That was the problem I had the last time. Took me until not but I got it out of bootloader mode used the MLD-CG-1, alone then CG-2, then the full backup and it has been working now for about 30 minutes. will get back to you in the morning. Sleepy now.

Maybe someone esle could test it.

Fred,

The 1FF files are guaranteed safe. They came from Motorola's server.

@udogg - I did no seem edits.
It is the stock 73BR firmware and 018 Flex.
@fld - I believe the MP is safe.
I am sure StarkRaving will test it, when he gets a chance.

Well look at that, I go away for a week and everybody gets all "special" on me. ;-)

Couple things I learned while playing with the full flash files, movement between quad, LD, and LD_AS is simple. No need to use backups and "back into them" as I had to do before. Run the full flash in F&B or RSD and you should be good to go.

Also, I flashed the quad flex to LD_AS and received the same error as tk did earlier. I re-entered my subsidy code and it went away (it was a stamp in the greeting and deleting did nothing-came back on next reboot)

On a good note, with the moto quad flex in place and working great, I can now use google maps with an "ask once" option.

If you use the quad flex, REMEMBER to remod all your seems and files from scratch. There are MANY differences between the LD, LD_AS, and quad seems.

No. All my phones are unlocked.
I tested the firmware.
They are still unlocked.

You can remove the locks from a flash file using sbf recalc 1.2.8.

Just follow this procedure:
1. Open Flashfile
2. Split Flashfile
3. Open CG Folder
4. Go to Advanced Menu and check Remove "Ask for Lock"
5. ReCalc Checksum
6. Either Create SBF or Create SHX would work fine. I prefer SBF since it leaves a smaller file size.

Just look at what I did with the V9 ATT Flashfile

Can this be done to locked firmwares and opened that way? And be able to flash them an unlocked v9

I don't think this is possible as the lock is also embeded into the PDS of the Phone. All a locked flash would do is activate the lock then you would need the unlocked code.

Only way to unlock a phone is to get into the PDS, it's not just the firmware

All this will do is unlock the firmware that is locked as not to activate the lock in the PDS and relock a unlocked phone. This is useful as it lets you try flashes onto a unlock phone without relocking.......oceanghost
