If you want to make the splash screen revert to MOTO instead of that dreaded AT&T that comes up before the SU Gif, go into the A:drive about seven files down and delete the AT&T main file, just below AT&T TCF file. Do not delete the AT&T TCF file, just a reference. Thats it, when you power on your fone from now on it will show the MOTO splash instead of the AT&T Crap.

It should be listed above that. Look for your AT&T tcf, it should be next under that.

I see the AT&T Cli on my fone, but the main file is just above it the file looks just like this (AT&T Main). it is a small file only 167kb's.

Lately all my bricks are kills. I have not been able to save them. One V3xx (hagan has had no luck) and now my V6 Maxx.

I have had my share of kills, I dont know what happened to one of them, the others were delete or add and see what happens.

Nice find u-dogg, thanks!
Doesn't that mean you could just change this at&t boot and have a custom bootup?
I why you can't simply name the file to be deleted? If I sort my files by size or type, it won't be seven files down for sure.
And have you ever tried this?
Seem 004a_0001:
Offset: 1C5 Byte 01 = Provider (bootscreen), 00 = Hellomoto (bootscreen)

J4zz your phone is international(I think), it probably would be different. This same method does not work on the V-9, dont know why. But this is a way of doing it without any seem edits.

It's not a valid image file.
I'm currently trying to get a custom boot atm, But I'm comming up with blanks

Sounds like you may be dealing with the wrong file, what file or files are you workin with...

This edit is for the V3xx, second if you have the V3xx just save a copy of your ATT main file, then delete the one from your phone reboot and the moto screen will appear before your S/U gif. This edit is NOT for the S/U......

GIF Construction set (as well as free ones out there) can make a custom splash gif file. Just replace the att file. My V3xx has a fire breathing dragon with a roar at startup ;-)
It was converted from the Discovery Channel movie about dragons. Clip your movie (or whatever) to the scene you want, import into your animated gif software, reduce frames to fit within time frame of the splash, and save as gif. Then replace the ATT audio file with your choise.
