Sorry to intrude FLD, but yeah these both cell Phones Share the same Skins, just you need to rename from .chm to .phm !!!!!! :oops:

Following the information I have been able to gather and what little. Only some E2 skins are compatible with this. This also requires you to flash a modded CG52, some one correct me if I am wrong on the CG, and even then you would not recover your original CG much less to flash it back has not been proven. This CG has enabled folders from the TF card that would carry the name Mytheme.phm. folder holding the skin. Each folder I think carries the same mytheme.phm name but the contents would start off as a copy of a skin on the phone that is then copied and the content would then have the skin files required. Some one please correct the information here as I am still green to it JUIX modding.

There are some wiered reports out there about how E2 skins work on Z6 and V8. I would not try that!
I tried a Z6 skin once on my V8 and what a mess it made. The main reason is, i guess, the structure of the iconres which is different for Z6 and V8. You can see that when you use Kview :mumble: , which works fine with the Z6 iconres, but not with the V8 iconres.
But we need a volunteer to test this.
But untill then I would seperate Z6 and V8 skins

Hmm ... the only .phm files I know of on the V8 are the Themes files and they are safely and unreachable tucked away in the CG52.
V8 skins has only iconres.ezx and ini files, nothing else.

Hmm over at M3 they have threads pertaining to E2 skins working with success on the Z6. To date this is not even something I want to try fro the same reason that you said that some skins don't work.

There is however a chance to use Z6 skins, theoretically, if you extract the images from the Z6 iconres and import/replace them in a V8 iconres, as the images are the same, but the way they are stored in the iconres is different. How much the Z6 ini files work on a V8 remains to be tested.

Yes they do work on the z6
all you have do is add a file
mytheme.phm
In the folder.
