voice recording software wanted

anyone know of a good open source or freeware java app for voice recording on the cell phone?

I think DictaPhone does this job.It is a java app.

the program installs just fine. Records just fine but in amr. (Real Player) format.
The files are stored in a/mobile/audio but show up nowhere (not even in sounds) on my phone.
If I open p2ktools I can find the files there in a/mobile/audio - download them to my desktop and hear the recordings...........

1/ Can I change how and where they are stored so THAT I CAN FIND THEM on the phone?
2/ Real player format - why that? Can this be changed?

Go to parameters and tick flash sidebands.

I'm pretty well all set!

I have ticked off flash sidebands. (Not really sure what this has done)
It doesn't look like there is any way to stop this software from requesting permission to record. too bad

It does a great job of recording!

Is there any other settings that I should be made aware of?

To be honest, I don't use this program.I just knew it was suitable for recording.
