v9 ringtones

Hey there fellow modders, just wondering if it's possible to apply one of my mp3 files as a ringtone?
I have a new V9 from Rogers, I did cut an mp3 down to 20 secs and installed in a/mobile/audio, however when I go to the ringer menu it's not there, any help appreciated!

There is seem you need to do first.

The seem edit is in seem 004e_0001 Offsets 920, 921, 922, 923 set values to FF for all, re-upload it and see what happens. Be sure to back up your original seem in a safe place first. Let me know how it goes.

I did the edit 004e/0001 920,921,922,923 and changed value to ff for all, uploaded to phone no prob, uploaded my 20 sec mp3 to a/mobile/audio.
I then cycled the phone and went back into a/mobile/audio and it is visible with the rest of the ringers, however in the phone it is not visible, anywhere.
Any input?

Add to it the SD card. Then go to it first and then select apply as ringtone.

Ok, fldodger. I did install on SD card and it's in my music folder twice, shows in phone and on SD, also it does play. However in the options I don't have the apply as ringtone option, actually don't have "apply as" at all.

Not sure about this or where I read this info or who was telling me...but is there an issue with converting the mp3 to mpeg4 and disabling video feature, or something like that?

Ok shes a wrap! Went back to a/mobile/audio and copied the original modded mp3, opened my Nero 7 and converted to mp4, reloaded and it is sitting in with the other ringtones, works like a charm!
Now I wonder what the limit is to size? 3ookb? Or did we modd that earlier?

Go for the gusto and try a full song

For some reason I can't apply the full song, seems to be limited to abouts 20-30 secs, and around 500kb is my best size applied
