Flashing fonts to Z3

On top of my problem with getting the SU/SD's to work, everytime I try and flash a Z3 font file to my phone, it just fails, with no change. Any reason for this?

If I am not mistaken isn't fonts better to be flashed with FB3 (registered).

try f&b, just in case.

But the method I've tried is via Motokup, through flash mode.

Update: Failed with F&B3, as well. All of these little problems are quite frustrating, considering the fact that I've experienced no problems setting SD/SU and using different fonts on a couple of V3's. Grrrr!

Did you try any other fonts and get the problem with both FB3 and RSD? It might be the file that you are trying to flash is no good. Try another font with both programs.

I tried 2 different fonts from another(very trusted) site. Made by Clarkey. I'm sure someone is familiar with his work. Anyone have a font file, proven to work?

Clarkey is the premier expert in fonts. If the file got corrupted in the download process or over time then this would serve no purpose. Try one from our section and see if it works and then we can assess further.

Hmm. Now, my phone is stuck at the bootloader screen. Bad Code Group. None of the fonts(CG4 seem to be working. In fact, FB gets to a certain pint and the status bar just stops. Time remaining continues to rise, but nothing is happening. Does it matter that my phones firmware is R452B_G_08.02R?

No Please try one the fonts for Z3 that I have made.

I know for certain they all work and are error free.
Try to find RSD lite3.6 or greater and make sure you have the lastest driver install on your PC.

Your Firmware could be the cause. The Fonts are based on the Language pack which is CG2. I am starting to wonder if the CG2 for the fonts are not compatible with your R452B, I think we need anhvu2875 assistance in that case. I'll PM him.

I DID finally get one to work: BlackJack, although it's not the one I preferred to use. At this point, however, not a big deal to me. I would like to get the other ones to work, though. BTW, isn't it CG4?

Ok. Because I had found that BlackJack worked, I decided to experiment with some more. After NOTHING worked, I tried to flash it with BlackJack again and it just got stuck at the bootloader screen, like all of the others!!! WTF?!? I did finally get the file K1_Berlin-Sans_LP0003-reflash_jujudrn.shx from PlanetMotoX(is that allowed?) to work. Thank goodness I like that one better than the BlackJack font, LOL! I think I'll just leave the font alone for now, HAHA!!

1. K1 u can easily flash new font .
2. Z3 its hard to flash new font if u dont know the way to port font , u have to use both "FontCreator" and "MotoLangEditor" exactly !

I tried all of the fonts located in the K1-Z3 download section. None from the Z3 forum, however. I kind of like this new font, though.

All the z3 fonts have been test and work. I was one the first to make fonts for the Z3 over a year ago.

Clarkey will testify to this. They are no harder than other.

It's very strange why none of my fonts will work for you, possibly checksum errors, I usually use Flash and backup to flash fonts,

Flash&Backup will flash files when RSD_Lite won't.
Found that our with the v3r.
RSD_Lite is more "conservative" than FB3 when flashing files.
That's my opinion, for what it is worth.

yeah me too , i rarely do use RSDLite , to me F&B3 is the best choice !

I am the oppsite. I always use RSD lite

I only use FB3, I dont trust RSD lite, takes longer to flash with it, maybe its just me, and also gives you unnecessary checksum errors if any flash does have.
