I can not use the outside 'touch-screen' in these ways.

My question is: why? Obviously the phone has the capability but it is not programmed to make use of that very cool feature. And more importantly, how do I go about activating that feature. Can anyone give me a flash or flex file that I could install myself and the phone would still work with my carrier Rogers? Is there a seem edit or something I could do? I do have some experience doing these things.

There must be something that can be done - preferably without having to ship the phone off somewhere. How can I just 'settle' for the fact that I can not enjoy a really cool feature of this amazing phone!?

Any help or comments would be appreciated!

bryce2000 like i said to you at m3. The carriers have blocked them and there is no flash to activate these cool touch screen functions. 98exploder has been working with the Euro and AT&T V9 to try different ways on making it work but he hasnt been successful in working it out. He was now sold his V9 for the time being so untill someone works it out theres nothing that can be done. You never know there getting flooded with letters about this. So they might hopefully release an update.

I think it's pretty safe to assume that the external touch screen features we all want will probably never be available on the AT&T V9. If possible, it would have allready been done. And even if it is eventually cracked, it'll most likely be too complicated for the average user to get on their phone anyways. I guess we should all accept the fact that those goofs at AT&T have permanently crippled our V9's of features it's meant to have and should have. It sucks that we get charged the same price for a stripped down version of V9!!! The best solution is to sell the AT&T V9 on Ebay or to someone and use the money towards the purchase of an unlocked Euro or HK V9 to use with the AT&T service.
