2021 Skin good install except..

Hey forum
Installed 2021, went well. The wallpaper?? (screen that appears when you flip the phone open {not good w/ lingo yet }) 2021skintb8.png won't show. Have been to Settings>Personalize>Wallpaper no dice. Any help? Have ripped and reinstalled the ap once. No luck.

Make sure that the picture is on your phone.

The only pic file on the phone is Abstract22.gif in: P2k:/a/mobile/skins/2021_by_bomber21-V/ should I be looking elsewhere? I see lots of .dat files in this dir. Is it not compiled in one of these. Thx livewire

Another question P2K Commander V-4.9.E locks my mouse when I reboot from the ap other than not using that function any suggestions? If there is a better forum for this question let me know Thx livewire

No there is not a seem edit necessary. Go into media finder on your V3xx and go to wallpapers not pictures tab and you will see the Abstract22.gif wallpaper which was used for the skin> click it and set it as wallpaper.

You need to upload the wp separately. It will not install with the skin.

How did you install the skin? What program did you use.?

Yeah..... turns out I was just being lazy or maybe I just needed a few hours away from the prob. Relax on the couch watch a movie and OH! Find the dir with the other wallpapers> check it> no file> u/l. Sorry a little embarassing. But THX fldodger and Thomas. BTW fldodger please excuse the PM Thought it was your Mod. Just in case someone else gets temporary brain damage, i mean, needs the info location is "P2k:/a/mobile/picture/" For file "Abstract22.gif" I am assuming this is my mistake. I used the batch file install. File reads:"
cp 2021_by_bomber21-V9.dat
to /a/mobile/skins/2021_by_bomber21-V/2021_by_bomber21-V9.dat
md
cp Abstract22.gif
to /Abstract22.gif"

this is the last four lines of batch file w/o quotes

Shouldn't it be:"
cp 2021_by_bomber21-V9.dat
to /a/mobile/skins/2021_by_bomber21-V/2021_by_bomber21-V9.dat
md /a/mobile/picture/
cp Abstract22.gif
to /Abstract22.gif"

Is this a :twisted: bug????

Because the skin are use many 240x320 and the picture folder is different on all them. We just leave it set to the standard directory. And upload the wallpaper to where we want. a-c sd card and then applied skin and add the wp.

You will find that useful when you a skin but the wallpaper is not to your liking. Then you can choose anything.
Or if have tried any of Underdogg or araeff skins they usually have extra ones (wp) for you to use.
