SMS Storage....

Ok guys here goes..
I want to be able to store more messages on my phone & I no the only way to do it is with seem editing. I have all the software i need but have no idea how to do it. Are there any instuctions available maybe with pictures showing what to do? Im sure if the messages store to the phone rather than the card you can save more. Anyway my phone is a V3 with the following firmware.. Boot Loader 07.D0.. SW Version R374_G_0E.42.17R

How many messages can the phone store now?

It can hold around 100 maximum.
If it holds less,open Motorola-Tool,find the ''SMS Storage'' box and clich ''phone''.Then restart.

When you say "Motorola-Tool" what software are you refering to? Is this the name of the software needed? I can store around 15 sms on my phone as I think they are getting saved to the sim card..

found the software needed.. i think? the only way to find the sms storage option is to click the 0032_0001.seem button which asks me to "locate seem file" if i click cancel i then get the big grey window open with all the mod options. Under sms storage i have 2 options.. phone or sim card.. none were checked. I checked the phone option but what next? Sorry if i sound a complete nerd but ive never done any seem editing

Oh you are right.
First you have to download 0032_0001 seem from your phone.You can do that using P2kCommander.Go to ''seems'' options,type 0032_0001 and then save it.

Finally open it with Motorola tool,check the appropriate boxes,.Hit save and finally put the newly saved seem back to phone

Ok ive managed to do that now.. i saved it to my phone but how do i no if it worked? I guess i will avta wait to see how many it holds now. Many thanx for ya help.. i hope it works now

You can check it by opening your new modified seem with Motorola Tool and see which box is checked. :wink:

yea i checked and it was ticked "phone" looks like you have cracked it.. ive been waiting ages to do this..
