I just had a look at M3 and people asked the same question. The Rogers V9 can hold a 4gig mirco sd card people have confirmed it. For more information regarding this. Look here

My Rogers branded V9 (R263311) 2GB only.

My international V9 (R263313) 4GB works fine.

Yeah, there have been many cases where the compatability varies, but remember Moto is releasing the V9x with micro SDHC capability so up to 32GB for the new V9.

True, more than $10 per GB, but back on topic:

Has anyone tried successfully an 8GB MSD on the V9?

I've heard rumors of the international V9 working with 8GB with an upgraded flash, the most I've ever tried is the 4GB, the Rogers V9 I have wont read the 4GB card only 2GB.

Yeah, i just heard about the International upgraded one from Skrilax, but i wonder if that means that it supports up to 32GB as well since over 8GB isn't available publicly yet.

Conclusion: The amount of memory the V9 accepts depends upon its hardware version and also its firmware, and maybe even then it just varies with the phone itself.
