Cingular(AT&T) Customer Service

Called Cingular at about 11:00AM and requested my unlock code for the v3xx.
Girl that took the call was very pleasant, and requested my IMEI number
and said she submited the form.
She said sometimes it takes up to 5 days to get the unlock code.
Received it by email at 2:25PM.
Three hours and 25 minutes. I wonder why it took so long.

that seems pretty fast, but one would expect that it would be almost instantly generated and sent, maybe thier server is a heap of junk - or she was lazy - but i like to hear this because I use Cingular/AT&T also

Called AT&T Customer Service at 800 331-0500 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting**************800 331-0500******end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
Gave her my number and account information and
asked for the unlock code for my replacement Tilt.
Gave her my IMEI number, she gave me the unlock code.
Took about 5 minutes.

You're lucky tkalli, a while back when I was with AT&T and requested my unlock code over the phone it took 8 hours before I got my unlock code...and I got the "might take 5 days" spill also, so I was really happy when it came that same day, maybe that's why they give you the "might take 5 days" thing, so you're grateful when it comes sooner....

i requested a unlock code for a sony w580i and got it in about 2 hours seems they are pretty quick with that kind of thing.
