Un-locking the Left and Right Soft Keys
1. download mma_ucp from /a/mobile/system/
2. open it up with a hex editor (I used XVI32)
3. change the following offsets using bit manipulation.
at offset 57, bit 2: 1 = lock, 0 = unlock (left softkey)
at offset 7B, bit 2: 1 = lock, 0 = unlock (right softkey)
4. save changes, and upload to /a/mobile/system/, replacing the one there.

Seem edit 004e_0001 offsets 920, 921, 922, 923- set all the offset values to FF.

NOTE-Any MP3 files already on the phone, must be re-installed before this mod will work

What am I missing?
I have successfully Un-locked the Left and Right Soft Keys then proceeded
to *Change "CV" Button to Message Center: following the instructions above.
Maybe I do not have the correct setting in xvi32?
I am not seeing B#r#o#w#s#e#r##
The majority of my file is 'FF'
Comments will be appreciated.

Look to the right and read every other letter.

On the right you see /a/mobile/system/cl.gif

First, I'd like to say thank you for sharing and second, I'd like to say thank you for inviting me to do the same. Thank you.
I wanted to start by sharing an idea I had about re-mapping the "World" and "CV" buttons. What I like to do is to map the "CV" button to the camera and the "World" button to the message center because of the ever increasing popularity of texting. To start, we have to re-map the "CV" button to the message center just like you have it here:
*Change "CV" Button to Message Center:
Download DL_BrandAndAbbr file from the root folder "a", use xvi32 hex editor to change B#r#o#w#s#e#r## to read M#e#s#s#a#g#e##, upload back into root folder of phone, restart... Done!! CV button is now message center Thanks goes to bellyhead, at ModMyMoto.
The next step is to change the "CV" button to the camera just like you have it here:
(I know what you're thinking but please bear with me for a moment)
*Change "CV" Button to use as Camera
-seem 005b_0001, offset 1E, uncheck Bits 0,2, and 4. Leave Bit 6 checked giving a Value of 40
*HINT* By the way, you don't really have to check or uncheck any bits, just put 40 in offset 1E ;)
While you have the 005b_0001 seem open, change offset 19 to 55 (don't worry about checking or unchecking any bits, just put 55 in offset 19). Now upload the seem back to your phone, then restart and enjoy. Oh, in case you're wondering, by putting 55 in offset 19, you're telling the "World" button to look to the DL_BrandAndAbbr file for its destination ;)
One more thing:
Enable Funlights/Clublights
It is reported it is the same as the v3xx
That is correct but the v3xxR doesn't have a camera light so it looks kind of funny. I just wanted to point that out.
P.S. I'm using a 4GB SanDisk MicroSD memory card in my R27231 v3xxR and it works great. Just thought people would like to know that.

MMA_UCP editing:
1:download the mma_ucp from your phone
2:open it in MMA Advanced Editor
3:edit the menu to your liking, and save new mma_ucp
4:run program MMA Doctor, open saved MMA, then click Save
MMA Doctor will create a folder "NewMMA", just copy these newly created files into "a/mobile/system" on tour phone, restart, and DONE!!
credit to whoever discovered this:)

I am using a 4GB Micro SD card in my V3xxR and can confirm that it works great. I plan on trying an 8GB card and a 16GB card and with any luck they will work too. The 2GB limit of the V3xx was just too small and I am glad the V3xxR contains the upgraded size limit.
