External LED issue.

Well guys, I bought a gold V3XX on E-bay for my wife and all was good until I noticed that the external screen would come on and go off on its own at intervals between 2 and 10 minutes when the flip is closed. It does this all the time and the battery seems to drain much quicker than it should. When we charge the phone it happens still but with sound added, kinda like the sound you hear when the service tone is set to on and the phone finds a network. Has anybody run into this before?

I know its difficult dealing with ebay sometimes like this but see if you can get your money back would be my first train of thought.

Have your local repair shop take a quick look and maybe you get lucky.

Yeah, I was a bit concerned about this behavior so I decided to repack it (as it was shipped to me) and send it back to where it came from. It has a 30 day warranty from the seller and I'm confident that there won't be any problems getting my money refunded. Anyway, I just got another V3XX from a different seller on E-bay that says it is brand new. I asked her what software version was on the phone from the sticker under the battery and she said it was 97_04_2BR. I'm thinking it's a V3XXR. Whatever, the price was right!
