I have just bought my first ever mobile and that to Motorola A810
so i m a noob
after lots of search i have found that Motorola A810 Flash is availabe

before going For flashing I have some Q
so can some one tell me :

1. what will be the advantage of flashing A810 ?

2. what precautions should i take while Flashing ?

3. what Can i do if by some unfortunate reason I m not able to Flash it properly (phone becomes dead) ?

4.Also how Can i install skins and packages on My A810 ?

Welcome to the forum.
1) usually flash give you options and feature.

2) Make sure you have a backup of your Phone before you doing ANYTHING.

3) That is chance you take every time you flash a phone. Some times they can be saved just by reflashing your backup. Some times you need to do a test point. Some time nothing work and then you lie and send it back and say you don't know what happen to it. 50-50 they might fix it at no charge.

you have a very nice phone there,

i've never modded one of these before,
the only member of staff who may no some stuff is Konig,

1. well extra features, Telnet & FTP, changing fonts and adding Applications,
all these could be possible if you flashed Modded Firmware,

2. always have a full battery and follow the flashing instructions, if in doubt ask,

3. from what i no of linux it's very hard to Kill a phone, when flashing

4. this probably depends if you firmware lets it, with modded firmware, yes probably,

How can i extract my current firmware so that i can re flash if ........

After flashing will my mobile warranty become void ??

Motorola A810 supports GSM 850 Mhz i have just conformed it :) though the motorola websites have not mentioned it but i have just seen in on my motorola A810 box and have also conformed by asking Motorola India customer care
