its really a big job and i had rack my brain but whatever, its finished..haha
this may be my last skin, im tired and dont want spend all my part-time on it.


ok, let's see how to setup it..
first, ur phone should support telnet/ftp..
and then copy the files into the correct floder..

put the folder iphone_white into /mmc/mmca1//skin/
files in the flows into /ezxlocal/Other/ (dont copy the flows folder,just copy the files inside!!!!)
iphone_white.chm to /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setuptheme/
medld.conf to /ezxlocal/medl/

and then change ur theme into "iphone_white"

restart ur phone after u completely setup it .
enjoy ~~~~~

if it cant display well like the sreenshot shows, u may need to change ur font and retry...

the speed is fine and u can change the mainmenu background with ur favorite pic(mm_bg_top.gif in /ezxlocal/Other/ size=320*240 )..

The skin is not showing up in my skins list after copying it to my phone and restarting...tried copying 2 times .. same thing .. has anyone been able to successfully install this skin ??

Worked for me.
I just created a new skin folder in skins,i named mine 'skin5' and copied the contents of the ipone white folder into 'skin5'.

I have not tried the 'flows' folder yet.

Let us know how it turns out.

Great great skinagain from godbox.I just instaled as standard theme copying it to skin folder.No Spiner and List icons then.In grid view missing a conection icon. Calculator mising part(yellow exclamation mark) and my phone hang up two times in 5 minutes! Now i will do instalation as mentioned above and see...

Did a telnet instalation of all as written in the first post.Bestwebs MP have 10 icons so again first two are duplicated if you have 3*4 icons as on screenshots.Again phone got freezup after 5 min. Pity realy realy great theme!!!!

Hey Bestwebs you can see that in flows there are .svg files that change way grid,spiner,list view look!! Now you can try to make your MP looks good with 8 icons or even less. He made grid view to have 12 icons(3*4) just buy changing this .svg file. So tkae a look. ;-)

maybe is the difference between different FW cause these problems, my mainmenu icons is different than urs ...
i didnt mod the Spiner and List icons , times limited ,sorry...
and the mainmenu icons is not only controled by the grid.svg, it just decide the number of icons ,and which icons should displayed in the mainmenu is decided by UserMenuTree ,in ftp://192.168.16.2/ezxlocal/download/appwrite/am/

if u're interest in it ,ur can mod it urself , i just want to show that there is so many styles u can mod and dont make ur imagination limited by the local style....

It was working but only when the phone is in Modem&tools if i switch it to modem only if freezup in a second. Menu is ok. But now I can't find my java apps...cause your user tree doesn't have it!
And now it is working for half hour but only in modem&tools

@godbbx do you have any extra icons from this theme so i can finish it(calendar,world clock,profiles,phonesetings,videocam,mesagecompose r,dowloadmenager,email,notes,mediafinder,conection s,homescreen).
Also big icons for spiner...
S...t it froze up again. But music is playing in a background ;-)

Can it be a problem mmc/mmca1//skin/ is it a memory card??? I don't have it??? I copy all my skins in a phone memory,entering trough mass storage mode .system/skin/skin5

i can use this skin fine...
icons is limited and small, u can try other,i think these icons is not fit for the spiner and list...
u dont have memory card? ur skin setup way is different, its old - -...
this is my setup Method..do this all in tools or medem&tools..

first copy iphone_white.chm to /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setuptheme/, than u can see the iphone_white skin in ur phone, but if u apply it ,it would show the ONYX theme.

if u do not have memory card ,u must change the /mmc/mmca1//skin/ to /mmc/movinand1//skin/，and than creat a folder called "skin" in ur file manager..(modify the iphone_white.chm "Skin = /mmc/movinand1//skin/iphone")

second, copy the iphone_white folder(contains the iconres and ini) to the "skin" floder,and u can use the skin now~

third, creat a "Other" folder in /ezxlocal/,and copy the svg and gif files into this file..

at last ,copy the medld.conf to /ezxlocal/medl/ to replace the old one and restart..

this is how i setup it..not ".system/skin/skin5 "

and ur javaapps, i think u should modify the usermenutree urself,u can find ur java apps' code in the "SysRegistry" , in /usr/data_resource/preloadapps/

Welcome Somayehns.
Do you still have the stock firmware on your E8?have you flashed anything?
With the phone on enter *#9999# this will give the details of your f/w.
You will need to have modded f/w for your phone to have telnet/addition of skins etc.

This flash >here (http://www.mmus.us/forum/showthread.php?t=5215)is a good example of that,guide for flashing is there too.

All of the bestwebs flashes are very good but that one i linked you to is my prefeered and i am using it now.
You can load whatever java apps you want after the flash.

Can you also post your bootloader version just to verify,thanks.

Pull the battery out for a min and then reinstall and try to reboot,flash as a last resort.

Take a look at the guide to installing skins.
I use skin5 as an example when im installing skins to E8.
i have skin folders numbered from 1-10,the guide explains this in detail.

i will try the new revised lime skin and post my results later.

Yeah me also have skin1,skin2...skin10(gold,mine mixup,evolution lime,supersexy by syska....moonfest) and all of them are working great,only this white one is freezing the phone no metter what and how i install it bestwebs or godbbx way(memory of ftp) result is same after sometimes phone gets frozen.

I have been using this skin on my E8 and have tried the things you have mentioned and do not notice any problems.
Its not as fast as some of the other skins like the bestwebs green envy,but seems to perform ok for me.:boh:

In this theme is included mainview.svg that can provide some nice things...if you put in iconres.ezx picture 320*240 called fsba03_bg.png it will be background for the main menu no metter spiner,grid or list view. So when you change a theme after reboot it will change a menu background!!! And then you don't need to make those 320*137 or something pictures and tellnet to phone to change mm_bg_top.gif to have a different background for different theme!!! Really good!!! GREAT WORK once again godbbx!

Try to ftp to the phone and delete the skin,then restart your phone.

Sadly, it seems the same thing happened to me today. I installed this skin and everything seemed to be going fine (I followed all the instructions related to ftp except that I put the skin folder in .system/skins folder). Now whenever I restart my phone it just hangs at homescreen. I can't access my phone to delete the skin via ftp. It seems to be recognizing my carrier but the signal icon shows as if there was no signal on the phone. I can't access the menu or anything to change the connection type (I got stuck on memory card mode). I was using the last Bestwebs flash before the mpkg box. (can't remember the name exactly). I already tried leaving the battery out for a moment but still.... Should I flash :( ?
