This problem is common with newier firmwares on Motos.
Now use the motomidman 0.82 years version.
Open the MotoMidMan configuration setting file in notepad > Scroll down to you see Mode 7 text string > And add R261171LD-AS to the end of it > Save the change > Then you should not get the Unsupported platform error.

I also had to do this to get my V9 to connect to it. Worked like a treat.

You can also do the seem edit for deleting stock java apps. Thats what I did. It allows you to delete the stock games and apps right on the phone. I realize that you have already tried this, but did you do this method??

For delete stock java aplications:

To delete stock java games and apps you must do this seem edit

Seem 0032_0001

Offset 43: bit 1 (checked) Games and Application - Settings Protection Off

After that restart the phone and go to your games and apps and hit options. There will now be the option to delete. Hopefully....

I didn't know about it either until my phone memory was full.
I had to go searching. I ended up just enabling it in p2ktools, but then I looked at the seem it enabled and found that info...... Glad I could help.

@ thomas: Thanks for the re-sticky! There is some really good stuff in there.
