building a phone

hey i was wondering if its possible to build a phone, like go somewhere that sells parts like gsm4world.us and buy seperate parts like you do with a computer and put it together. is it possible?

Hmmm..This is a unique idea but I think it is a bit difficult.You have to know much to do that...

yea i was hoping id be like a computer, just buy the parts and the screws and know where to put them together and make it work. but i want to make sure it has been done before and what i need to know,
