backup creation problem

Hi, I am using flash and backup to make a full backup file of my v9x, I rigged the phone a bit, so I want to have this new backup of my rigs. The thing is that when try to make either a shx or a sbf file, all it does is copy six .smg files to the backup folder, (CG1, CG2, CG3, CG4, CG7, CG8) what could I be doing wrong? all I want is just one shx or sbf file, that's it. Thank you for any help.

You have to choose the format in the backup format box.

Hi, thanks for the reply, actually, I did choose the format, I selected shx, did not work, so then selected sbf, and it did not work as well, all I got with both these options were six .smg files in the backup folder, (CG1, CG2, CG3, CG4, CG7, CG8)

OK. How about this.
When you "save as" the default is smg files. The drop down box will give you the choice of smg. shx sbf and fsw.

mhhh, i didn't see "save as" all I did was select read, some time ago I did a backup of my k1 phone and it was fine, I guess I forgot, how to do this, can somone explain it to me quick or post a link to a backup guide:)

mhhhhh.. that is exactly what I did, ok, gonna do it again, but weird, I even put in the correct profile for my phone, by the way, thank you so much for your help, well, gonna try again.

If that doesn't work check the box ( cut empty bites)Hi Fldodger, thanks for the help, haven't tried that yet, was guessing I should wait until Tommy fixes the link to the modded 004E_0001 seem, that way once I put every mod i want into my phone, I can do a backup. I'll let you know if it works when i check the empty bites. Oh, just noticed I was using windows 7, maybe that could be the problem too. Ok, I'll let you know, thanks again.
