I have installed Windows 7 RC on one of my computers.
Had problems finding audio driver but DriverMax to the rescue.
SEE HERE (http://www.mmus.us/forum/showthread.php?t=8542)
I am dual booting with Windows XP.
I have installed the programs I use most, without any problems.
You can also configure it to look and mostly work like XP.
Interesting that some programs installed in Windows XP will run
in Windows 7, with just a shortcut. Such programs don't require
registry entries.
So far, I like it much better than Vista. I want to replace Vista 64 bit
on my Laptop, but will wait, since Final Release will require a Clean Install.
Any tips or tricks using Windows 7 should be posted in this forum to
help others.

Been running Windows 7 for a few days.
So far, everything is working fine.
I like to access all my files on each computer on the network.
Haven't figured out how to access C drive on the Vista 64
or Windows 7 PC from another computer. Can access the other
drives with no problem.
I know it is for security, but want to access them, anyways.
Any suggestions.

1 Laptop running Vista 64 Home Premium

As vista users know taking ownership of the files in vista is pain in the neck. I used to use a registry entry to take ownership of folders and files. I tried it in windows 7 and it works in windows 7 too. It adds take ownership entry in right click menu. Here is the link ..just double click and add to registry.
Credit of course goes to whoever made it.

Mr. T.. i use right click on C drive to share it in windows 7 32bit. I dont know about 64bit.

Thanks for the tip, EAlex.
I tried the registry edit in both Windows 7 32 bit
and Vista 64 bit, but didn't work for me.
Still get same message.
Only shows Public on Vista and Users, D & F drive in Windows 7.
Take ownership is not there when I right click on the drive.
Rebooted a couple of times, to make sure.

Sorry, take ownership was just a tip to take ownership of the files and folders. It had nothing to do with the C: drive share.
For C: drive I just right click on the C: drive and then I click on share with and advanced sharing and it shows up in my network folders. I'm attaching some screen shots.

I am trying to access the C: drive on Windows 7 and Vista 64
from Windows XP over the network.
Must be missing something.
Tried with and without passwords.
Tried the registry edits.
Still can't get access.
Of course there is no problem accessing XP PC's.

I see.. lol I am no expert in computers ..in fact i know very little. I remember though when i had network of vista and xp, i had to rename WORKGROUP to same name on all my computer in order for vista shared files to show in xp. You might have that already though..if not that might be worth a try.

Thanks for your replies. All computers are WORKGROUP.
I am pretty experienced with computers.
It is just the security in Windows 7 and Vista I haven't
been able to conquer.

Conquered it.
I uninstalled Windows 7 and reinstalled it and
set a password, this time.
Set C drive to share.
From XP click on C drive and it asked for username
and password. Entered it and now have access to C drive.
Probably will have to reinstall it several more times before I am done.

RSD Lite not working.
Installed Motorola USB drivers.
Device manager shows Motorola USB modem is working.
Anybody have similar problem?
EDIT:
Working now after installing FB3 and running it.
Closed FB3 and started RSD.

Great site. Each manufacturer has its' own forum.
