I am trying to fix a friends phone that does not boot. Hope to Flex it but having trouble finding it.

Any help will be appreciated.

I can get to boot loader. That is where I got the Firmware and boot load info.
Ran Flash&Backup to obtain existing Flex info.

After installing the link tkalli provided I started the phone and obtained this information from phone status>>other info:

Data Ready and Browser Ready
When I go into Boot Loader Mode the screen reports Bootloader 03.02
Factory Skins: AT&T, Disco, Indium

I would say this is exactly what I was looking for.

The network I referred to, the phone did not find the Cingular/AT&T network.
After several minutes of "Searching for Network" it finally goes to the home screen
with no operator and no bars on the antenna graphic.

I don't have a clue what to do about that.

Make sure you are using a valid Sim card.
Go to network setting> check in there. Set to to different bands and see if it pick up something.

i have no clue either, your v3xx having USA AT&T flex and you said no network found.

The sim card that I am using is my AT&T 3G card from my current service provider.
I swap it between my V3xxr, my V3re then into this V3xx.
I am able to make calls and everything in my two phones but not from the V3xx.

In this V3xx that I am working on and my V3xxr I only have two choices
under settings>network: Service Tone and Call Drop Tone

In my V3re under Settings>network I get several options:
new network, network setup, available networks, my network list, service tone, network jingle, and call drop tone.

Friend of mine at work found it on the road somewhere. In good shape, thought I could get it to work for him. Does not show any serious impact damage. Would not start up when he gave it to me and after two flashes it will startup but not find AT&T. It knows the difference between having a valid sim card or not. Thanks for the help. If you have any ideas let me know otherwise I may take it back to him later today.

Check and see whether imei was blacklisted by AT&T/Cingy !

How do check to see if imei was blacklisted by AT&T/Cingy ? This phone has the Cingy Logo on battery case.

We do not block IMEIs. I saw that option on the switch I work on and blacklisting/greylisting is inhibited.

Also, I called AT&T and gave them the imei # The lady I spoke with was very helpful. She could not find any reference to this imei # and after some discussion pointed me to the liquid damage indicator which happens to be a beautiful RED which she stated ment this phone got wet which may have led to the existing problem.
