hello guys... need a little help here..... the v3i i have seems to hang up... for instance im in one of the menus and i want to go back to the main screen.... my phone stops and doesnt respond for about 5-10 seconds and the screen goes blank..... the good thing is after this happens it operates normally again..... is that normal? and the speed in accessing the menu items or opening files is a bit too slow.

what do i do? a friend advised me to do a master reset but i cant because the security code has already been changed from the default and i dont know the new code.... pls do help.... what should i do?

lastly, i also noticed that if i adjust the time in the morning to synchronize the time on my watch.... after a few hours, the time on my v3i becomes late by fifteen minutes or so. so i have to change it back again....

please help me.... thank you.

As for the hanging of your phone, it seems to be a software issue that you may require a reflash. Maybe even consider a MP as there are a couple of nice ones about. Let us know what Software and Flex you have and maybe we can advise from there.

As for your time falling off by 15 minutes I am wondering if it has to do with Auto update being on. If you can't see it in your menue it may be on in the back ground and not displayed. Try turning it off as it may have to do with your network.

Well to find out what Software and flex you have simply go into The Phone Status>Other Information> and here will all of the information about your phone. Include your Language List (Language Pack as well).

To flash you phone would take too much explaining here so check out the guide section and it will point you in the right direction. The reason I also asked for what type of Software and Flex you have is because flashing the wrong flash file to your phone will brick it (make it useless). It's very easy to do and will drastically improve performance of your phone. An MP or Monster Pack is a flash file that has both the Software and Flex included. A Reflash or Flash is just the software and could be further be broken down into other flash files for the DRM (graphic icons like signal and battery strength), Fonts and Language Packs (LP), hence why I asked you to include that when listing what you phone has on it. Take a good read of the guides and we will help you to understand it further if necessary.

Golden rule to learn from now: "Always Back Up you phone no matter what you mess with!"

You can access it by holding # * and turning your phone on.

The best program for Backing up phones is Flashback 3

but you need pay 9.99 for the complete version. You find that HERE (http://www.motorola-tools.com/backup-tool.php)

The other info that wildcard suggested is in the same area that you found this software version. When you get into phone status scroll down to other information, there you will find your Flex version, technology, S/W version, language list. Post this information and a mp or flex will be suggested for you to use. But remember you must back up before any flexing or loading an MP.
