K1 won't turn on

Any ideas as to why my K1 why my K1 isn't working? The battery died, so I bought a new one. It worked for a few hours and got really hot so I took out the battery and put back in. Now the phone won't turn on. Doesn't flash for a second, light up, or go to the Bl menu when I hold * and #. thanks in advance.

I guess it's always possible that you have another bad battery:(

Do you know somebody with a working K1/Z3 that you can try their battery?

i tried my old dead battery, but even that one doesn't work. usually the screen would flash with that one then go off.

Has the phone ever been damaged by water?

If the battery got hot, then it has a short.
More than likely, the phone is fried.
I would try another good battery as Tankrider said though.

I would disassemble the phone and carefully clean it. Rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush can be useful.

One of the causes of shorts can be dust and corrosion. This would help.

remove battery, plug in charger, K1 will power on.

note: did that yesterday when i was doing Hard TP my K1.
