[E8] Guide For Using NoRSA (Kill) Bootloaders and Modified CG31

Hi,


This guide explains a simple procedure for using the no rsa (kill) bootloaders with the patched cg31.

1- You must know your bootloader in your phone 1st.
Hold # and * and power on your phone.

If you have never flashed a kill or no rsa bootloader to your phone, then you would flash the corresponding one.

For example if your bootloader is 06a3, then you would flash the sbf file from the 06a3 no rsa zip.


2-The no rsa or sometimes called kill bootloader, removes protection from the bootloader so that you can flash various firmwares that have signed cgs.


3-The patched cg31 is flashed after you flash the no rsa bootloader for your particular bootloader.
This will remove the need of appended zeroes or "FFs" with certificate and invalid signatures on all the CGs.

There are 2 choices here.
You will only flash the one that matches your bootloader.

If your no rsa bootloader is 06.A3-or-06.A5 then your would flash the sbf contained in the Patched-cg31-for-No-RSA-06.A3-or-06.A5-boot.loader.zip

or


If your no rsa bootloader is 06.A9-or-06.AA-or-06.AC then your would flash the sbf contained in the Patched-cg31-for-No-RSA-06.A9-or-06.AA-or-06.AC-boot.loader.zip



4-Then you would flash your firmware.
But you must make sure that the firmware does not contain a cg31 in it or it will override the one you flashed in step 3.

We currently recommend the following flashes.
All are good and it is suggested to try several.
You can then determine your favorite.

Above flashes do not contain a cg31 so they can be safely flashed.

Credit goes to Yakk , Skrilax_CZ and any others that I may have missed for the creation of these no rsa files.


I have repackaged these files as zips and and renamed them for easy access by our members.
This should clear up alot of the confusion that exists.
Any corrections/additions will be updated as needed.

This is to confirm that atlast, yes, finally, we are able to flash 06.A9 cursed FWs.

I followed the guide exactly and woha, I was running Elba Pro Final in 5 minutes or something. It was smooth, like really smooth. Thanks BESTWEBS!!!!!!!!!

Alx, We have found that some installed firmware will require the modded cg31 to install the new firmwares.
This is a brand new innovation and discovery in E8 modding.
It varies from phone to phone.
I believe that it removes the memory mappings from the cg31 in your phone and allows the new firmware to be installed.
This is probably needed when your current firmware is sticky.
